The Kalahari Desert

A little bit greener than expected, but for once we managed to visit a nature reserve at the best time for game viewing. The rains, albeit well over 30 degrees and clear blue skies for 95 percent of the time, bring plenty of grass to the pans. Could think of nowhere better to try out the satellite phone for the first time. No luck with the lions, which are suppesed to be "in abundance". However, we were very fortunate to see and capture a leopard on film as we were leaving.
