We're in Nungwe on Zanzibar, having a lovely time! More photos of white sand and turquoise water to follow shortly...!
Last stop in Zambia
The Hot Springs at Shiwa Ng'andu (Africa House); a welcome end to a six-hour walk - missed the turning right at "the big tree", which added an extra 10 kilometres...
North Luangwa, Zambia
Due to washed out roads and bridges not yet in place, the 200 kilometre trip (as the crow flies) from South to North parks, becomes a 1500 kilometre, two-day trip via Lusaka. Absolutely worth every extra kilometre as it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! We spent four days with Ed, Claire and little Tabitha in their home in the heart of the Rhino Sanctuary at North Luangwa National Park - picknicks, rhino tracking and sundowners...
South Luangwa, Zambia
After a four hour bumpy ride from Chipata, we arrived at Flatdogs Camp. It is a very pleasant place to spend a few days. For the first time on this trip we left Wayne at the campsite and opted for a guided night drive and a morning walking safari in South Luangwa National Park. We were lucky enough to view two leopards up a tree as the sun was going down. Not so luckily, the camera battery died on us, so no pictures... There were plenty of hippos and elephants to be viewed, sometimes a little too closely as they munched their way past the tent at night.

Lake Malawi
Were in Malawi for just over 2 weeks, spending the majority of our time camping by the lake - Malawi's main attraction. The country is just as friendly as everyone says and very relaxing to travel in. Pics from Zambia to follow shortly...
Hiking to Livingstonia, Northern Malawi
We stayed at the unusual 'Mushroom Farm', which sits on the escarpment overlooking the lake. From here we hiked through the corn fields and local villages to Livingstonia.
